Headline Master's Student at Zhejiang University & École Polytechnique | AI builderlab City Lead About Hi everyone, I'm Mark, the founder of Desk-Emoji, a desktop robot project. Before starting Desk-Emoji, I spent nearly five years at Nokia as a software engineer and Scrum Master. During that time, I worked closely with a German team for two years on the MULTi project, helping maintain global CI/CD pipelines. I also developed an FAQ customer service chatbot, worked on backend development for the Byze website, and regularly used Power BI for data-related tasks. More than the technical skills themselves, these experiences taught me how to break down problems logically, focus on results, and build repeatable processes. I've carried the same approach into hardware development. From mechanical design and electronics to firmware, software, and supply chain management, I've personally led the development of Desk-Emoji from start to finish, while also handling product and project management. Our prototypes were selected among the national Top 30 in Alibaba's AI + Hardware Innovation Competition and won third prize in the Zhejiang regional competition of the 2025 China Maker Competition. These milestones helped bring Desk-Emoji to where it is today, ready to be shared with all of you. Desk-Emoji means a great deal to me. In many ways, it feels like a friend. I hope everyone who gets one will discover their own creative ways to use and enjoy it. Most of all, I hope this little robot can bring comfort, smiles, and happiness to enthusiasts around the world.
