TypixDev
I'm Li Haohua (eggfly). I've worked in software development at Xiaomi, ByteDance, and Ant Group. Alongside my software career, I've also spent years developing hardware projects, including a programmable smartwatch and TypixDeck, the handheld computer I'm introducing today. The inspiration for TypixDeck came from an open-source silicone keyboard with an excellent typing feel. We wanted to pair this full QWERTY keyboard with a small display and bring back the unique joy of typing with two thumbs on early handheld devices. After several hardware revisions based on Raspberry Pi, I made TypixDeck compatible with the CM4, CM5, and CM0, making it easier for enthusiasts to customize, modify, and build upon. A dual-core ESP32-S3 independently handles power management and displays system status on a dashboard. TypixDeck gives you access to the full Linux ecosystem. You can run emulators to revisit classic games, enjoy music and videos, or connect an SDR dongle to receive radio signals. I also designed TypixDeck to serve as a portable AI Agent dashboard. When multiple AI agents are working on tasks simultaneously, you can check their progress and status at any time. Whenever your input or a decision is needed, you can simply type with your thumbs or interact through voice. I hope you'll enjoy this little handheld computer and feel inspired to make it your own. I'm especially excited to see the unexpected ideas, creative modifications, and new possibilities that TypixDeck will inspire in your hands.
